This production presents a dramatic narrative of a doomed love between a Samurai and a Maiden.  The story begins in the present (Prologue) as the old Samurai remembers his younger days (The Way of Honor).   He falls in love with a local maiden, and they playfully chase each other through a grove (Under the Cherry Blossoms).  However, the maiden has caught the eye of another warrior, and the two duel before the maiden throws herself between them, dying (The Duel).   The old Samurai remembers all this at her grave, before seeing her ghost disappear into the Cherry Blossoms as he walks after her (Story’s End).
